The Information We Collect

When you join the Curion panel, you fill out a profile that collects personal and general consumer information including your email address. Your email address is used to invite you to participate in upcoming research projects. The personal information we collect such as gender, birth date, state of residence and employment status are used to qualify you for upcoming studies and to provide aggregate category information to our clients such number of males or females who completed a project. Your name and mailing address enable us to send you incentives, prizes and/or other rewards you earn based on your participation.

Use of This Information

Once you join the Curion panel, your profile is stored in our proprietary database. This profile is strictly confidential. Your personal information such as name, address and phone number is never sold or released to other companies.

Our site uses temporary cookies that are removed after each session.

Updating Profile Information

Periodically, you will be sent an email request to update your profile or you can update your basic profile information at any time by logging in to your account or contacting Panelist Support.

Opt-out Policy

If at any time you wish to end your membership with Curion, please contact Panelist Support or log on to your account profile to unsubscribe via tile link. Once you unsubscribe, you will no longer receive email invitations from Curion.

Rewards

Anyone who participates in a Curion study is eligible for the prize or incentive established for that study. Information regarding drawings, incentive or other prizes will be explained when you qualify for a study. At times, Curion may request additional information such as your mailing address and/or any information required by law for reporting purposes, such as your social security number.

Notification of Changes

If there are material changes to our privacy policy, reward policy or ownership of this panel, you will be notified directly via email. All changes will be updated on our website.

Security

Curion will make every effort to ensure that your personal information is secure. Access to your profile is password protected and restricted to our site administrators. You will only be contacted for the reasons described above (see use of this information). Curion does not collect financial information such credit card or bank account numbers.

Children’s Privacy

Curion will not knowingly collect information from individuals under the age of 13 without first gaining permission from his or her parent or legal guardian.

IRS Requirement

If your compensation exceeds $599 in a calendar year you will be contacted by a Curion representative to request your SS# for 1099 purposes. Please be prepared to provide this information. Keep in mind that it is the panelist’s responsibility to keep track of annual earnings as you are not considered an employee of Curion.
